FAQ

Does it record computer (system) sound?

Yes. In the picker that appears when you start, choose a tab and enable "Also share audio" to capture that tab's sound. On Windows you can also share system audio when picking the entire screen (on macOS only tab audio is available). Turn on the microphone checkbox above to mix your voice in as well.

Is there a watermark or time limit?

Neither. Longer recordings just make bigger files. For multi-hour sessions we recommend saving in chunks of about an hour to keep browser memory happy.

Is my recording uploaded anywhere?

No. Recording and saving happen entirely in your browser — the video never leaves your device.

What format is the recording saved in?

MP4 when your browser supports recording it, otherwise WebM. If you got WebM and need MP4, use the WebM to MP4 converter — it takes seconds.

Does it work on phones?

Mobile browsers don't support screen capture, so use Chrome or Edge on a computer. On iPhone and Android, use the screen recorder built into the OS (Control Center / Quick Settings).
